This site is an on-line op-ed column that is critical of the suburban living arrangement that exists in the U.S, the empire that has been set up in it's wake, and the "corporate citizens" who rake in obscene profit levels from the whole mess.  This site has little praise or good things to say about these forces; if happy praise of America is what you crave you may want to visit a less cranky scribe's website.

This site deals in opinion only, and should not be considered a “news source”. The essays reflect the views of the author only and are not meant to inform, influence, or educate, they are for entertainment purposes only. They will be biting, caustic, cynical, possibly offensive, may contain errors (gramatical, spelling, and factual), naughty words, and should probably not be read by anybody under or over the age of 18.

The Author of the essays N. Luke Wernerholm, a former waiter, bartender, and food service manager, was born in New Jersey and has lived in CO, NY, UT, NV, AZ, LA, FL, MN, WI, and VT. He is over dependent on spellcheck, has rarely been paid more than $2.13 per hour by a company, and is very slowly working his way through college in small bursts. Luke is 41 and a utopian of the most liberal sort.

Frequent contribuiters will be considered for payment should the site ever generate revenue, and will be informed should the time come.

The site is owned by Schlingel and Pog LLC of Vermont who is barely responsible for the content.

This site does not collect revenue from any source (yet). And was not paid or asked to endorse any product, service, company, charity, or website.

All Photos are for illustrative purposes only, much in the same way a box on a store shelf has pictures of food that is not in the box with the disclaimer "serving suggestion", the photos are only to put you in the mood, and may or may not match up with the words on the page exactly (For example, I may talk about a "Prius" with an Obama bumper sticker in the text, and show a photo of a Ford with an Obama sticker-- because I could not find a non copyrighted photo of a specific car with a specific sticker, the point would be to show the sticker, not the car)

All essays are reasearched to a limited extent , but may contain typos or inadvertent minor factual errors that are unintentional (such as stating that the Nixon Library was in Whittier rather than just over the city limits in Yorba Linda, based on something a friend said once while I was a visitor that I did not double check before publishing) and should not affect "the point" of the essay at all.

Most photos not taken by the author were lifted off a Google Image search and are already being used on other blogs like this one, and showed no indication of any copyright. The use of any copyrighted photo or image is purely unintentional, and has not been used to gain a profit of any kind; if you come across a photo that YOU hold the copyright to, have your attorney contact us by mail, at the address listed with the Vermont Secrartary of State for Schlingel and Pog LLC and we will be more than happy to remove it.
